Increase The Peace
We are a group of Year 1 Visual artists who have teamed up for a collaboration, the name of the group is called "Increase the Peace" with group members Pale, Jason, Alpha, Sio, Nicolas, Moa, and myself. The purpose of this groups existence is to create a project based on PEACE, to do so, we worked together brainstorming what we would do for this project, we each shared our thoughts and
came up with the idea of peace.
Once we figured what the concept was, we started thinking about how we would show peace in whatever way we were going to make this project, Then Pale (Group Leader) came up with idea of having to make the actual word "PEACE" by having one person per letter to create that letter in their own way or style, film the process for each one, then at the end show the finished results which creates the word PEACE altogether. We were also given roles like camera man, and video editor and the artists, We all agreed as it sounded like a great idea, a way of showing different skills of screen printing, drawings, photoshop and stuff, after all its a collaboration. After our meeting i had a talk with Taarati about what we were going to work on and she gave a reference to look in to, an artists by the name of Santiago Sierra, who did a similar work called "KAPITALISM" where she got different countries from around the world to make the letters that make up this word, then burn it.
We planned out how we were going to film it and stuff so i drew a rough plan of a shooting script that we could work with, just to like have a fair idea of what it would look like, its on the right page of this book.
